Well, here we are, it's the last day of school, thankfully only half a day!

Lord give me strength, just half a school day left until the holidays.

My first ever 200 km + ride, and that was with the gravel bike today, on max. 6 bar/85 psi.
In comparison, I ride my road bikes with 25 mm tires on 8 bar/120 psi.
I decided spontaneously the night before to do a day tour and I planned this fully.
Trail running rucksack with 2 litres isotonic drink. 2 more water bottles, each with 750 ml iso drink, 4 muesli bars, 4 snickers, 2 bananas.
Food wise, I was fine, but drinks were all gone by 175km, so I stopped at a water point in Himmelgeist to refill.
An amazing day!
Highlight(s) of the ride:
1. Eating and completely demolishing my snacks on a picnic bench on the Panorama-Radweg Balkantrasse after 120km. Tasted soooo good, especially the Snickers.
2. Finishing the 200 km, obviously.
3. Exploring new cycle ways around Düsseldorf, like the RuhrtalRadweg and Balkantrasse. If anyone is interested I use this website to plan the routes:

Not so good on the ride - only two things:
1. The last 5 km through the Düsseldorf Rheinpromenade on a Friday night with all the party people, I should know better, it always takes ages to get through, maybe next time over the Rheinknie Bridge and up the other side.
2. Eating my last Snickers at home, and completely forgetting I have a temporary tooth filling on one side, so no sticky food, aaaand of course it fell out, oh man.
I think now a good bath is thoroughlly earned. I best be careful not to fall asleep in the bath!
