5:49:55. My rational side meant for this to be a fact finding mission, not an fkt attempt, but it lost that battle somewhere on the climb up Flume. This was my first time on the bond cliff trail (it was stunning!) and I have not done the garfield portion in 15 years, so I was flying blind most of the way. Made the big mistake of not refilling my water before climbing S. Twin, ran out partway up and realized there probably wouldn’t be any on the ridge line. Couldn’t refill till partway down Bondcliff, which hurt me a lot. Had a hard time eating without water and consequently bonked pretty hard. Definitely need to take another stab at it now that I’ve seen the whole route.
