Got it back, albeit to test out before making some more tweaks. It’s one-by now but just the original big ring (53). Gearing was about ok, tried the Gauldry hill and Rathillet ramps. Prob switch the cassette if an event needs any more - and perhaps no more hill climbs on it 😭😄. Did drop the chain three times which was frustrating, confirmed getting a new chainring though.

Also wanted to try a few different directions of wind and effort. Bit out of practice with the odd gust catching a wheel. There was a dig Balmullo to Tayport, and Cupar to St Andrews but the latter I had to stop by one of the Strath farms to reseat the chain. Other chain places were Strath to Guardbridge, just after Cairnie, and that one I already mentioned. The latter annoying because it was a good little dig.

Oh and to the driver in Guardbridge who shouted “bike path!” at another cyclist and me, 📣 “motorway!” 😎
