Went for broke with Matthias, who held on to set the FKT despite falling and smashing his head on the final descent. Super fun to give this a go with him, and so happy he held on for a fast time.  I felt rather lackluster all day but wasn’t in FKT shape anyway, so was happy to help push the pace for Matthias even if it meant running beyond my means. Finally paid for it about halfway thru and spent the next 2.5 hours just trying to stay upright, haha.  That shit was hard and I’m feeling too old. But good times.
