I came here to look for Cicindela scutellaris flavoviridis, which had been recorded from here some years ago. I was pretty excited when all saw all the dry sand habitat above the banks of the Perdenales River, but there were no scuts to be seen anywhere—strange. I did find a small area of wet sand along the water's edge, from which I collected three species of Cicindelidia: C. ocellata rectilatera (10), C. trifasciata ascendens (3), and C. punctulaya (1), which along with the other species collected the previous two days makes nine species so far for the trip. Beautiful river with a hard, conglomerate bedrock that resulted in mini shut-ins.
