I booked this little road trip a month ago to film a KOM I’ve wanted to try in Ventura. What followed was a heat wave and fires and bad air. Tried the KOM anyway today and I was up at the halfway point on my @wahoofitnessofficial @strava live segments, but decided to obey my body (and my recent @whoop recovery scores) and pull the plug. I shall return, Pine Mountain. 

The bike path down to Ventura was lovely and that cheered me up.
