Well today was a race! Timmy showed up we ran hard, and had a great battle over those 19 miles. I’ve had the pleasure of racing Timmy a few times over the years and I thought I might have had him this time. Alas, no dice, Timmy is a great competitor, and against a guy like that even a small mistake can cost you the race. I lost a contact at around mile 14, got it back in as quick as I could but Timmy had already put about a 30 second gap on me. I ran hard up the last climb to the top of Strand, kept as hard as I could on the gas running down into cement creek with Timmy in my sights the whole time. We finished about a minute apart, both well under the former CR. What a great fight out there!
