Afternoon Walk

This was an unsupported FKT attempt. I definitely didn't bring enough water. Filled the bladder to maybe 2/3, so about a liter. I didn't fill it all the way because it was so cool this morning and didn't think I'd sweat so much. With the pack on and it getting hotter near noon, I was sweating a lot. I ran out once I hit OH-278 and decided to bail. Skin was dry and caked with salt, so I wasn't about to do 8 or so more hilly, hot miles with no water when I was already so dehydrated.
I took quite a few wrong turns - worst was at point O when I ran past the turn and took probably a good 5+ minutes looking for the trail, decided I'd just backtrack and bail on it at that point when I saw the other trail I missed at the O marker.
The south loop had a ton of backpackers. The north end/loop had not a soul and the trail was overgrown with vegetation, a lot of thorns, and had a handful of fallen trees.
Almost blew my ankle up again around mile 6 and limped for a half mile before it was fine. Definitely gonna have strengthen the ankle since I twist it like every other run now.
Done with FKTs unless I am familiar with the trail or have GPS guidance.  At least this was a good forced long trail run and a good, hard effort.
