Afternoon Ride

Awesome day with an amazing route. Crashed once in the pre ride on a hidden root and once on the fast lap on just a random slick corner right near the start. Got a stick cause in the derailleur shortly after the crash which I had to stop and sort out. I figure between those two incidents and the bit of time at a few junctions looking for the right trail I probably lost a minute. On a dry course I'm guessing my time could be mid teens. Fun to ride on slick trails since you never get to do that outside of a CX race. Lots of fun feeling the rear end slip all over.
2" tires were a good choice would have suffered on my gravel slicks. Bike was a mess being coated in mud but was able to hose it off at Matt's when I dropped him off. Looking forward to a hopefully more traditional race next year as I will for sure be back.
