I still don't know why this city is so bad at plowing

It was so fun. Beautiful weather, nice dirt, and quality vibes with Mark on the bike for 15 of it. (Shout out to him for coming along)

I worked my way through it and found I was feeling better as the run went on. I also did my trademark maintaining pace up hills rather than effort (this time it wasn't a conscious decision lol) which found myself running 6teens and then 6flat. I just decided to stay in that space and see if I could bring it all the way back to the apartment. I then kept winding myself up thinking about the 100, and just embracing the grind, so the pace kept dropping until I was really working it. A few stops at major intersections were annoying, but also probably helped me keep the pace down with some unintentionally rest. Thank goodness there weren't too many though, I was able to slide across a few of them in some gaps as well.

Overall I couldn't be happier with where my body is at and where my mind is at. I've never put in such a volume heavy training block, and although there wasn't a ton of ultra-running specific training in there (I wouldn't know much of what that looked like anyways) a ton of aerobic fitness has been built, and a bunch of mental strength is in place. If my fueling is right and my patience is there in 2 weeks for the 100, I think it'll be a great day.
