Can’t tell y’all how good it felt to race people again. Also forgot how much an 8k hurts.

Rain stopped just before we started. Got out good, Dewey, Petesch, Joe Zack, and myself were pretty much all together. 4:43ish through the mile. Settled in on mile 2. Got some separation from those guys after the second mile and told myself I couldn’t look back. If I let them back in, no doubt I would’ve gotten dropped the last mile. Kept on the gas. Felt strong and smooth throughout, kinda wish this was a 10k. 23:56 on the watch, but the consensus was the course was ~10 seconds long. 23:46 for 2nd, I’ll take it.

Super happy with my fitness rn, time to keep building and rip a 10 mile in a couple weeks. Need new flats before that, feet are in tremendous pain.
