Daylight becomes short and so do the rides. Being out in the dark just isn't fun. After our work group's meeting today I went out for only a little spin, this time on two climbs in the Palatine Forest. I knew each and every bit of the route, almost by heart, and that's the downside of such short rides: you don't get far. But that's something we need to get used to, each and every winter I guess. Well, my mood currently is struck by a lot of melancholy, the past days have felt like a real change, as if some kind of new era was about to start. And yet, it's only been the winter sending first autumn vibes to proclaim its soon arrival.

P.S.: On the descents it's been quite cold and I almost regretted having chosen shorts. But weather seemed to be too good for anything longer.
