The “lizard people” segment piqued my interest after I took a shot at “the Bruce” a few days ago. I figured today would be interesting since it already looked like another planet due to the smoke from fires. I’m grieved about the fires and all the devastation to our lands and people’s homes. Check the time stamp on pics, these are not sunset/evening. Shortly into the segment it was apparent that this was not a good day to race it so I decided to “enjoy” (aka survive) it and take some pics. It was an otherworldly experience. Experiments conducted on me by the lizard people included freezing my fingers to the point of numbness, wind-burning my face, dropping the temperature 20 degrees, inundating my sense of smell with cow manure every mile of the course, making me stop to pee 5 times, skewing my sense of sight, making the topography of the dirt imperceptible (I literally ground to a halt in deep gravel a couple times), getting ash in my eyes, and filling my ears with the hum of high voltage power lines. The lighting alone made this one of the top weirdest rides of my life.
