This ride is part of the Austrian Oetztaler Radmarathon cyclosportive event. The Jaufen Pass is the third of the four mountains and the most northerly climb that’s completely in Italy. Prepare for a steady climb with no real place to rest but also lacking in any seriously steep sections. 

It’s really scenic being filmed in perfect weather conditions and with some nice views. Expect a mix of open pastures and pine forests. After the summit there is some fast descending to the start of the next climb the Timmelsjoch (aka The Passo Rombo).
