The frost 2 miles were good as usual on the downhill but once we hit the lower woodchip track I began to lose power and some gnarly side aches set in. I tried to counteract with some alternative breathing strategies. At the lower bridge I felt a bit more power coming back and before hitting the big uphill I took off my shirt which was getting hot. After that the flatter section seemed a breeze but my legs weren't strong anymore and I ended up collapsing at the finish on the grass. Definitely not my ideal race but still very quick and respectable.
