Wanted to go after Eddie’s time, pushed hard for half and was roughly on pace with him and Tyler to Eagle Peak. Going in I thought the back half would be where I could gain ground but in the end I had to dial it back, didn’t have a full race effort in me today.

I notice on review that Tyler/Paddy/Me/The segment all take the trail vs the road for the last bit while Eddie stuck to the road. That’s maybe a 10-20s advantage but clearly not enough to make up the difference here 😅 (Note to Eddie, embrace the footing suckage 🤪)
