Gorgeous route, mostly runnable with incredible views at the top of the high peaks trail and descending.  You really feel like you get to experience the entirety of Pinnacles in just a few hours.  Caves were pretty neato but got real dark (consider a headlamp), balconies caves were closed so we had to go around. The climbs are pretty legit but not ridiculous, first climb was a little trickier for me, considering the weather, there was lots of slippery rock and stairs near the top of the high peaks trail so keep that in mind if you are planning to run this route after/while it rains. 

Navigation is pretty straightforward, still would never run this w/o GPS, but we were able to stay on the correct path pretty easily.  We took ~10 minutes off the previous time, which is likely to pushing the second climb and taking the flats quicker.  I definitely think more time can be taken off with better conditions, better technique/knowledge on the high peaks trail, and just the desire to push everything harder if you have the fitness to do it, Matt and I were holding back a little knowing the running week ahead of us.  No fueling at all during the run.  Route kind of looks like an inky cap too :o
