The PR going up Hanase is sort of fake... I beat my previous time by a few seconds, but the previous time included two minutes stopping to help some kids, so really I missed my PR by two minutes. It hurt. I'm out of shape for these big climbs, and my throat REALLY does not like the cold air.

It was down to 3°C on one road-side thermometer, with a flurry of snow hitting on the way down the back side of Hanase. Didn't notice ice anywhere, though.
