Notes:
- Much less sawtooth-y than its northern neighbor (or even the Sawtooth Ridge much farther north).
- Very easy PCT hike out and back 3 miles each way to the base of the south slope.
- From there, an occasional use trail but mostly mild brush bash 1,600' up to the summit. The prickly leaves of the live oaks make it a bit scratchy, but for the most part it's clear enough to find an easy way. Some deadfall on the small bench 1/3 of the way up impeded progress a bit.
- Nice view of the Kern headwaters from the summit, could see Olancha, Langley, Whitney, the Kaweahs. And there was barely any snow on any of these peaks despite it being mid-January. Olancha and Langley were completely bare as far as I could tell.
- Cool to see an old register (I think it said it was placed in 66) and read some of the old entries.
