Jonathan Manning plots a traffic-free route along the River Nene from Ferry Meadows Club site in Cambridgeshire. The route runs parallel to the Nene Valley Railway for a while, so you may spot a steam train, passes through the outskirts of Peterborough and then heads into the Fens, calling in at Flag Fen Archaeology Park before looping back along the river to the Club site.
