Started a bit cold and breezy, but got substantially nicer the more leafy Surrey got! The slog up to Ranmore Common was as tough as ever (totally ruined Dan!); though I sprinted up Box Hill (the magic of gels!) over-taking six other cyclists for a well earned National Trust flavour tea and date slice. Dan (still a broken man) suggested we take the 'ladies' route back. Bah. Personally I could have done another 8 laps of Box Hill (maybe ;-) ). Will try again, this time with the full route back... When Dan's recovered.
