love/hate relationship with night runs

i run this city

turns out hell was heaven all along because diablo is BEAUTIFUL. legs felt really good today despite my other long run yesterday and not much sleep last night because of march madness. this is the biggest climb i’ve ever run so i was scared coming into it and was taking it super chill, just chugging along. then i realized i felt good and there was only a mile to go (just after prospector’s gap) so i pushed it a bit to the summit while facetimeing chris. super fun time, may come back and hammer the ascent sometime... hopefully haha. very happy with my time when compared to my effort though! definitely can take off many minutes from my time if i hammer. also the park gate didn’t open until 8 so i started a mile away in the neighborhoods lol
