With Rob. We started out with a coffee here at the house so we could wait until the real heavy rain was coming down. We rolled out to get the clean Slate dirty. And what a peach! Love this bike. Absolutely great ride. It was built for a ride like this. Started in the rain, and stayed wet for the first hour. It clearer up and the sun actually came out. The climb above Walmohr turned off road real quick and the Slate seemed to float over it all. Great climbing and descending. It seemed nimble on the road, I'm just a skosch forward visualizing the front axel over the bar. I could another 10mm on the stem. I also over extended the seat post. Came with a 350, I need a 400. I had an easy week so climbing was fluid and there was no fighting the Leftt Oliver and using it while descending really smoothed everything out. Especially with my healing hand and collarbone I never had an issue. I can imagine that on the cobbles during the Ronde and AmstelGold it will dampen the effects of holding a jackhammer for 5hrs. Cannot wait. Short but quality ride
