Change of scenery. Taichung!

Enjoyable

That’s 100 active days so far this year. I’d actually planned a 100 mile route with lots of hills but the weather scuppered that.

Up at 4 for some scrambled eggs and a brew and out the house by 0445. Had to nip home first to put some air in the tyres then onto the route proper. Dry in town but cemetery hill was soaked. Coming down was like trying to cycle on wet glass.

By the time I’d reached the river (which was bone dry) I was soaked through and had enough. Fortunate to pass Ingrids so popped in to warm up and get changed.  I was 28k in at the point so decided to cycle home the scenic route to get to 50k. Riverside remained dry and I was enjoying myself so stayed out for a 100.
