Nailed it. Started out with 3rd on the segment as my target and here we are. Paced it pretty well, despite a stiff headwind on the lower slopes. Suffered like a dog in the last 5 miles and fell off my target pace just a bit but I held on. Spent a few minutes lying in the grass at the summit dry heaving before I could think about anything else. Obviously I would've liked to be a little closer to the top 2 but I knew from the numbers that the top two times were a little out of reach (for now, that is...I'll be back!). Knocked some really big names a step down the leaderboard. Super stoked on this ride!
