Morning Run

Full Knobstone Trail with the "Russ Goodman backward S" at the North end, to make it a full 50 according to the trail markers, even if my watch didn't agree. Beautiful, happy day... though plenty difficult. I was aspirationally chasing Peter Hogg's strong FKT on this route. Missed it by an hour, but managed to improve my 50-mile PR, nine years later. I was buoyed by generous crewing from Isaac Brown, who ran the start with me, and Daniel Love, who took charge for the final third when my pace was growing painfully slow. It would have slowed much more without his thoughtful help and encouragement. And my sweet wife, who met us at the end with everything we could have wanted and more!
