One more for the road bike.

I had already Zwifted in the morning, and done a compost drop-off ride in the afternoon.  The day was so nice, I figured I needed to do one more.

I managed to ride all of my bikes today.
Huh, maybe it's time to get another bike. 😂

This ride includes a few local climbs:

⛰️ Irvine Avenue Switchbacks.
These are a way to avoid going directly up Ramsey Hill.  I didn't feel like challenging Ramsey Hill directly today (and there were too many cars about) so I opted for the switchbacks instead.  The road has recently been smoothed out a bit.

⛰️ Cedar Street, by the Capitol.
I've got some very good placings on the leaderboards.  I did not feel like pushing for a new PR here today.  Instead, I stopped at the overlook and looked over the city.

⛰️ Trout Brook to Jackson.
I love this stretch, and I have really pushed for speed here more than once.  The climby bit is at the end, starting just before the tunnel under Maryland Avenue.

⛰️ Upper Trout Brook Park.
Trout Brook Park is split into two parts.  The lower part kinda/sorta ends at the parking lot at Jackson just north of Maryland Ave.  I typically take Jackson (which is very rough road) to Arlington and head back into Trout Brook Park there.  **BEWARE THE CURB at the entrance.  It is raised in the middle.**  Anywhether, from Arlington to Larpenteur is a bit of a climb as well.  Lots of people walk through here so keep your eyes ahead.

⛰️ McCarrons and Reservoir Park.
Yep, more climby bits.  It's uphill from Rice St. to the Reservoir Park trailhead, but things get even more climby once you've crossed through the tunnel at Dale.  The trail twists and turns and goes up and down, but mostly up until you get to the big cement alien spacecraft.

⛰️ University up to the Griggs Bridge.
My previous PR on this segment (known as "watchoutforpotholes") was earned at the tail end of a Century ride last year.  I just wanted to get home.  :-)  Today I managed to catch the light at University--no train and few cars-- and made good use of the momentum.  It's not a big deal climb, but you can turn it into a worthy challenge.

I was pleasantly surprised by my overall performance on this ride, particularly because I stopped to smell the flowers along the way.
