..and that concludes my 'turning 50' project. Really happy to have finished it, and enjoyed spending the whole day cycling. It was going really well, well up on schedule, when I slashed the sidewall in the rear tyre. At first the sealant looked like it fixed it, but then failed, then tried a plug which worked for a few miles then failed, then put a tube in - which leaked air and spent the next 40 miles pumping the tyre up every 20 mins, then every 15, then every 10 and eventually put my 2nd spare tube in which happily did hold air. All that cost me well over an hour but looking back I don't mind a bit - I made it to the end!
