This shit was way over 8 miles haha. Super cool trail race though, a little rocky and hard to run fast for most of it but I love the east eskers I think it’s my favorite part of the park. Went out a little too hard and struggled on the hills and maintaining a rhythm. Hills were really too steep to get much out of them, even going down. The way they had it set up was you run 2 ~four mile loops and you could start anytime between 5-6pm. Oliver and I started pretty close to 5, but there was still a ton of trying to get around people on the single track, mostly when passing people that had started later during my second loop. The hills were definitely tougher than expected, I feel like when I run the eskers by myself I don’t go the hilliest route but whoever designed the course is clearly a little psycho. By mile 6 I was in the hurt locker up the hills. Because of the start window I have no idea if I won but considering Nick got the 2019 win with 65 minutes I think I probably got it. New shoes came in clutch but my big toes still took a beating on the downhills. Also was really expecting to get some segment CRs but I guess I might have to go hunting for them individually.
