Holy shit what a day. Felt super good for 75-80 miles then the group of seven turned into five and I just couldn't follow the attack out of this gnarly section in the woods. Pulled back on the reins. Had some food. Just rolled the next THIRTY MILES home and was surprised I kept it together. Caught 4th place briefly before finally settling in for 5th place on the day. Hardest day I've had on the bike in a long time. Feels good to feel good. Beer me.
