Not as bad as I expected, especially for a route (NE Ridge) described as "probably the best route on Red and White Mountain because it has less loose rock." There are similarly disparaging descriptions on SummitPost of both the NE Ridge and SE Face. I didn't find it that much worse than Dunderberg Peak or Mount Maclure. The NE Ridge looks quite imposing from the saddle about 300' below the summit, but there's a fine system of gullies and ledges that can be climbed at easy class 3 about 100' to the south.
