Started out with a broken spoke 3 miles from home, so went back to swap wheels, but made me 10 minutes late. Group (of 12) waited a bit and I caught up to them on Cemetery Rd in Hadley but spent lots of energy getting there. Cool to start (50) nice to end (75). Great route put together by Jonathan taking us backwards on a route we did up to Orange two years ago. Quiet roads, beautiful scenery- lakes and forests, over roads we don't get to on a group ride very often- stuff like descent out of Wendell and the super-awesome descent Wendell/Depot Rd. Strong group, challenging pace. Couple of flats, one stop in Orange to re-fuel. Nice return route via Pelham/Buffam Hill, and S. Amherst. Really well flowing ride. Ended at Northampton Bicycle for their grand re-opening party- burgers and sausage for recovery.
