The air quality was bad again, probably similar to yesterday, so we abandoned the plan to climb Quartzite Peak today and camped at Merced Lake instead in case it got much worse. The Cathedral Fork and Echo Creek were both dry except for a few potholes of disgusting water. Lots of folks out doing the HSC loop.
