We found a direct pass to reach the Grand Balcony (400m ledge), rather than the roundabout routes in trip reports. Afterwards we found a counter-intuitive descent directly to the start of Minotaur’s Lair canyon.

Both options look preposterous, but make sense according to a detailed 1m scale map. I feel like a drug dealer trying to hook people on detailed topos. "Ever modeled a DEM? Wanna get high?”
