Beautiful stage coming up with Passo Sella and Passo Pordoi, both at over 2200 meters.  It was another neutralised start, this time though only about 10k before starting the first climb of the day, a 30 min climb mostly at over 10% on narrow and twisty roads.  Did it a reasonable pace and arrived at the top at the back of the red wheel, but Franck was just a head.  Was sure Roman would pull us up to Franck's group, but I guess this wasnt his day and Franck pulled away on the twisty roads to Passo Sella.  I felt fine in Roman's group and about 5k from the top we caught Franck who had been spat out of his group and didnt look too fresh.  I stayed with Franck and we let Roman and his group go ahead.      After Passo Sella we had two climbs to go, both of them not too long, the Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo.  We rode them at tourist pace, but still well enough to catch up with Roman on the Campolongo.  That turned out to be excellent since from Campolongo we had a 20k flat-ish downhill before the last little climb.  Roman put on the afterburners and I was dangling at the back and suffering like hell.  Just made it to the turn to St. Vigil where we had a little climb to the finish line.  Half of our group sat up there, obviously I wasnt the only one suffering on the downhill!  But Franck had returned from the death and attacked on the last hill, which meant I was spat out the back of the group!  Crawled over the finish line about a minute behind Franck!  We finished 6th. on the day and fell down to 5th. overall in Masters category.  The Danish team Team YoYo had overtaken us, by finishing over 4 minutes ahead of us.  An ok day, but maybe could have been better!
