Flipped the script and ran it backwards. Awesome ride with Jake and Robert on an unseasonably warm night.  We were flying down Blue Ridge School Road and I decided to just let it roll, hoping the speed would level out the washboards. That seemed to be working and I was keeping Jake in site, then the bike started jittering to the left.  Then more left.  Then a little more.  Then there was no more road and my bike hopped over into the big off camber grass field.  Robert did the same thing right behind me, so the two of us ended up doing a little high speed CX in the dark through the grass, then popped back onto the dirt at the bottom of the field. Jake was long gone but we kept the hammer down anyway. Good stuff. It was another fun Pipers night ride with a solid effort from the group.  We might start rotating the Pipers route to keep it interesting.
