mountain magic is my favorite thing ever, and this run was full of it. so stoked, so rad

started the run feeling decent, beautiful sunrise views up the big sur canyon of VDC and mt. manuel. beautiful redwood groves, nice cold river crossings, and the gorgeous river carved interior ventana. so much beauty. legs started shutting down up devil’s staircase (20 miles) which is a little early for a run of this length but hey, this was just for fun and exploration, not time, so all was good. fun was had. the last 3 miles felt like 3 years though haha. epic route, could and should become a mega classic (along with cone peak)
