Another PERFECT day for racing! I know my fitness still hasn’t received attention but today I managed my output a bit better than last race. No bonking or anything this time! This race was a time-trial start so it is a bit harder knowing where you are at in the field vs a mass start. The weather was great but the roots were definitely slippery today! In fact, I went down on a bridge pretty hard. It may have had to do with the Cat 1 racer who went down right in front of me which caused me to bite it as well…. BUT it was still a good day. After going down within the first half of the first lap, my confidence was shook a bit for sure and I continued to dab a foot down here and there and wasn’t as aggressive as I could have been through the corners. Still, a great day!
