Compensating much?

Tried to rein in my usual attacking style with the hope of being there for the predicted uphill bunch kick. Unfortunately wrong place wrong time so missed the winning break (which included the strongest riders in the group) and the chase was never really organised enough to close the gap. I think part of this was due to the circuit, which had very low visibility, but also due to some questionable time gaps which made the gap seem much larger than it was. Life in the bunch was hard enough though, with too many accelerations and jumping around making for some very tiring riding. Fabulously organised race and great turnout by RCC volunteers. One of the key highlights was the delicious spread of food provided after the race which put everything into context! Reasonably happy with my form but need to work on my flat speed and power to stick with the bigger boys, especially on such a windy day
