My Complex Triathlon - Run

Perfect weather so I went for it. Held back a little on the climb because I usually go out too hard and over zealous on the climb and destroy myself. Kept it at 90 percent so I would have the energy to still push the way down. I knew that the crown holder is really strong and I knew I couldn't match him on the climb and my only hope was attacking the downhills. As I suspected I was behind him at the top even with my superb time (1:20 behind). I'm not a downhill runner and this is the first time I had to use it to win something. Only took one gel and was worried I would bonk but I didn't. Ran cautiously on the way down. Someone good at downhills could crush my descent but overall this run was a mind shift. 7 min course PR and Strava KOM. Didn't think I had this in me.
