A lot of lessons learnt. Amazingly quick first 100km with the lead pack, sat at about 35kph+. Annoyingly my saddle slipped down at about 70km, but I didn’t stop so I didn’t lose the pack. Paid for this heavily in the last 40km as my right thigh was completely seized and kept cramping, making those final climbs agony. Lost the lead pack with 30km to go and crawled to the finish line. Much better to learn these lessons now, in a non-competitive environment though 😬
