Great work, sir!
Nice win. Windy?
Thanks guys! There was a bit of headwind, but not too bad -- knobbly ground and endless kissing gates more of a hindrance. I put in more effort than I should until about 7M to stay vaguely in touch with a Riverside guy, but then he slowed down, and neither of us wanted to push on (as we are both training for other things). Eventually he dropped back though, so I slacked off a bit in the last few M to try and minimise damage to my legs that will affect training this week -- probably too late though, I should have been more sensible and shunned the glory!
Well you can't do better than win. Well done. Looks like you made the right choice
And you claimed the famous scalp of 'Grassy Section CR' too! ;-) Well done, another great result (& another trophy for the downstairs throne-room too?!)
I'd wondered what the event was as I passed the St Ives busway crossing this morning. Good run Charlie.
"Bit of a headwind?" We were blown back to Earith all the way from St Ives!
You're taller than me Rich, must have caught more wind :-). Nick: no prizes this time, to keep the costs down -- but that meant no interminable weight for ceremonies too, so that had its advantages. Rather special *wooden* medals though, so one of those is now hanging in my shrine...
