Enloe Creek Campsite #37 to Lower Forney Creek Campsite #74

Tried to run all the downs and flats today.  Quite of bit of climbing mixed in. By the end of the day I was dragging but got to my campsite before dark.  We’ll see how the body feels in the morning. 

Saw a bear, grouse,  myriad of wildflowers, very dark tunnel and northbound BMT Thru-hiker over the course of the hiking day; a  brave and curious deer kept me company at my campsite.

Day filled with creek fords;  3 in 1 mile slowed pace substantially but the cold water and time with shoes off was actually pretty nice for the feet.   Getting good at putting Injinji socks on efficiently. LOL.

Late into the day I realized I don’t want to kill my self with long days into the night on this adventure.  Am good with anything over 50k each day and am ok with predawn hiking but nothing past dark in the evening.  My terms. My hike.

Finished before dark, set up tent and chatted with the only other people at site--Dave and friend from South Carolina who are doing the GSMNP section of the BMT.   It was nice to talk after a day entirely in my own brain.
