Out and back on the Chiltern Link from Wendover.
Wanted to test the legs following a few weeks rest after the 100k British Champs. 
Didn’t know the route so a few wrong turns but dry trails and cool temperature made good conditions. Very runnable, a few stingers on the narrow path in the middle section but vegetation not too bad. 
Was able to push nicely at times. A few climbs but nothing too taxing and was pleased to hold pace well with a very fast last couple of miles on the downslope into Wendover. Looks to be about 4 mins off the outward FKT (52:17) and about 13 mins off the out and back with almost exact same pace on my return despite the elevation profile in reverse.
Nice to know the fitness is still there :)
