super fun and dangerous race! even though it was raining and there was so much mud, think i did a good job keeping the effort consistent throughout the race, probably around 5:20 GAP. we opened with a fast 0.7 miles on the roads and then kept the same feel on the trails. My quads have never been so sore. it was so cool on the switchbacks being able to see people in front of and behind me. i would totally do this again even though i fell kinda bad with a mile to go. Big thanks to the fans, Michael Owen, Big Jake Ethridge, my dad, and my team and coaches for being there today!
