The fabled land of the South Branch of the Ausable. It feels somewhat poetic to finally run this section as an O&B having grown up paddling and XC skiing here. Started out easy and finally got in a groove around mile 5 on the first half. Increased the pace a little on the way back and hit a low around mile 14. Eased backed a little and then pushed the last few miles . I’d love to see someone eventually do this O&B sub 2 hr.
