bit of a schvitz

bet. 15 minutes faster than last week, probably could find another 5 minutes once im in better shape. happy with the pacing, PM looks slow but its very irregular and the thermometer was reading 38C when i stepped outside so i was obviously also lugging 2 bottles. Portola Redwoods State Park road is underrated - way better descent than lower W Alpine because its a straight shot and your not just grabbing fistfuls of brakes every 2 seconds, and the bottom is at least comparable scenery wise with the bottom of W Alpine. kind of makes for an unassuming map, but perhaps thats part of the charm
