Zwift - Z1 ride on Libby Hill After Party in Richmond

Double century weekend done :)

Wasn’t sure I’d be good for this ride, but felt ok upon waking up this morning so headed out for Falkland - headwind and slightly late setting off it was a bit of a dash over Cults.

Signed on and set off on the middle group. Twelve or so of us worked well together in to the wind to Muckhart. Turning for Dunning and soon I hadn’t realised but we were down to four. The four of us made quick work of Dunning and to Bridge of Earn.

I was feeling the miles at this point and would have probably dropped off, but the pace seemed to ease a little to Newburgh. Which is where the later-starting fast group caught up with us. 30-40(?) going through Newburgh was quite a sight and it got a bit tight at times!

Heading out of Newburgh the big group strung out and I lost touch with the previous three. Think I joined in with some of the faster guys and motored on from there. To be honest the pace was probably too much given the miles in my legs already this weekend, but I managed to stick with them (tough towards the end) back to Falkland.

Like yesterday a really good spread was put on at the hall and I tucked in - somewhat apprehensive of the 20 or so miles still to come - really shouldn’t have pushed on so in that second half.

No good getting comfortable and stiffening up I got back on the road. Up on to Cults, or the main busy road? I decided the Cults option - once up there the wind would give me a kick. Yeah, *once* I got up there. Cadger’s Brae was slow going, as was Porter’s Brae - although a struggling potato tractor just ahead diverted my attention thankfully.

Not much of note from there - the legs seemed to warm back up and didn’t complain tooo much heading back in to town.

Double century idea entered my head a week or so back, but I didn’t want to acknowledge “the plan” too much in case I failed. Thankfully that wasn’t the case and it was an awesome weekend on the bike. Two really good local events mega kudos to their organisers.
