That was fun! A bit more technical than I am used to which made for a fun challenge. But Bcon is the true savage here. Cranking low7 avg pace until 45 miles, then he eventually had to fight through some demons which is inevitable when you’re dealing with the human body. He persisted nonetheless, set a 12min course record and is now an RRCA National Champion(?). Our main motivation was a wooden cow statue that we thought was promised to the winner, but apparently this year they decided against such an amazing prize. Slightly disappointing. But we had fun 😀😀😀😀 this was more fun to me than racing for myself. For those interested, I would say the course is similar to the Suffolk County Greenbelt’s most technical section for 80% of the loop. PROTECT THE PINES!!!!!
