Morning Run w/ Cinder

Tillamook to Pacific City. What a change in mindset from yesterday! Started this AM and it was already hot. I was worried about chaffing, but tried some new methods and they worked! Used moleskin on toe issues, switched what shoes I ran in, and hydrated the best I could. Didn’t listen to anything today so that I could become acquainted with HWY running with a stroller. Only had one Karen flip me off from behind her Mini Cooper convertible when she had to pause for 5 seconds to be cautious while passing me. Everyone else, including every single big rig, trucker, cement truck, construction worker, something-to-prove-big-truck-guy etc all graciously moved over and waved while straining to see what my stroller sign said. I met a Vietnam vet, Doug, who was taking his trash out and saw me and asked loads of questions and shared a bit about his life story. Then met Charles and Obwyn (sp?) and Lee who were road tripping and we chatted and took photos together. Climbed over a massive hill by Cape Lookout that was very difficult with a stroller. Battled the heat by taking many breaks in the shade (*see elapsed time :) ), and kept my focus on the big picture, not the slowed pace of this run. Rolled into Pacific City and chatted with a park host, Braylan, who helped me secure a quiet and relaxing campsite. Solid day 3
